Lisa Piche
Lisa grew up in the Bon Accord area and moved to Morinville with her family when she was 14 years old. Her parents have always been committed and very active in the community. Her father, Paul Krauskopf, served on town council for over 13 years and her mother, Linda, has worked with Midstream in Morinville for over 20 years. This sculpted Lisa into valuing community involvement and volunteering. She has been involved with the Santa store auction for over 20 years. She has lived in Morinville most of her life and now raises her 4 boys here alongside her husband, Adam Parenteau.
Lisa has worked in the optical industry since 2008, beginning her career in Morinville at Capital Vision Care and in 2011-2013 received her professional license in Optical Science at NAIT.
In 2014 she became Manager at FYi Doctors in St Albert Center. Lisa was nominated as practise coach of the year for Alberta on two occasions while working with FYi. She really enjoyed working at FYi, her staff and doctors helped increase her knowledge and made her into a great mentor and leader, as well as a very strong optician. Lisa loves the optical industry and her strong business sense led her to this new opportunity. In 2021, Lisa opened iCandy Optical Inc.; a place where she could practise her skills and realize her vision of a space where people could comfortably look for eye-wear in a relaxed and personalized setting.
Lisa's passion for glasses and fashion makes it easy for her to help people find something that works for them. Her knowledge and experience will also make purchasing glasses easy and fun. She prides herself on explaining lens designs in a manner that people can understand. She will educate you on all the options and help you make a decision that's right for you. She just wants to make her customers happy and help them feel and see better. Lisa and her husband Adam are very community oriented and want to help local children in need. Her family lives in Morinville, shops in Morinville and they pride themselves on supporting local businesses. They believe in the growth of Morinville and are very excited about their new venture.
Felina Misiuk
Felina has been a Morinville resident her whole life, in fact her parents and siblings remain residents of the community as well. She and her husband Michael met on a blind date facilitated by a mutual friend in 2004 and have been together ever since! With her husband being from a very small community in Alberta, Morinville was the ideal place to settle as a couple and build their life together. They are raising their 3 children close to family, in a community that has a small town feel despite growing in size quickly!
When not a iCandy you’ll find her at her nail desk with either long time clients or a new student, teaching makeup and skincare to her online following in her Beauty & Lifestyle Group or in a one-on-one session with someone wanting a private lesson with a freelance makeup artist. For more then a decade, these “beauty businesses” have all served as an avenue for Felina to help women develop a sense of value; feeling capable and confident in their everyday lives.
For fun, she loves to cook with her favorite playlist going, watch movies with her kids with a bucket of popcorn & a glass of red wine. Socializing with family and friends in front of a dart board, around a table with a boardgame or some cards makes for her kind of weekend vibes.
Since joining the iCandy Optical team in the fall of 2022, she’s used her knowledge about design, color theory, face shapes and customer care to help people find the perfect pair of glasses. For her, the optical industry is the perfect combination of fun, fashion and troubleshooting!
Felina graduated from the Optical Sciences program at NAIT in the spring of 2024 as a Licensed Optician. She prides herself on educating customers about the perfect frame fit and empowering them with knowledge to make a confident eyewear purchase that fits their optical needs, lifestyle and budget.
Kylie Kincade
Kylie joined us in January 2023 to help us keep the office admin stuff organized!
She’s come to be our chief window display designer and is our prime Tik Tok contributor. In the past 18 months, she’s gained working knowledge on how to fit frames, the lens options available and making small repairs. You can always rely on her to greet you with a friendly smile and help you on your search for a new frame.
She plans to attend the Optical Sciences program at NAIT late 2025.
